As focus shifted more and more to promotion of Flemish written culture as a whole, the Flemish Literary Fund realised that the current brand name did not cover the present activities. We were asked to develop a brand identity, taking the new name as a starting point.

The creative concept that underlies the new visual language is the thought that Flanders Literature ‘opens a window’ on the dynamic and diverse literary landscape in the northern part of Belgium. The logo visualises a frame, which can be applied as graphic elements throughout all expressions. It can highlight any author, book, subject or other content.

As the national division Literatuur Vlaanderen and the international division Flanders Literature are to be treated as two separate brands with each their own set of responsibilities, the design was integrated in two websites, developed by Wieni. All other brand expressions were carried out accordingly. The new identity was launched in September 2019.
